  • 2B Technologies is dedicated to the development and commercialization of new analytical instruments for atmospheric and environmental measurements. Based in Boulder, Colorado they specialize in miniaturized instruments for measurements of ozone, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, mercury, and other chemical species in air. 2B Tech's goal has always been to use sound science and innovative technology to provide customers with cutting-edge instrumentation. A commitment to quality infuses everything they do toward that goal. They maintain certification under the ISO 9001:2015 international quality standard.

    2B Technologies is the lead on AQEarth and the recipient of the NIEHS funding grant for the project. They are developing and providing the air monitoring equipment and working directly with site partners to determine the best plan of action for each location.

  • TD Enviro specializes in collecting and analyzing data using new technologies to provide insights about the air we breathe. With over 25 years of experience in environmental monitoring, TD Enviro uses creativity and teamwork to address local air quality and weather challenges with innovative solutions. Their work spans from evaluating technology, deploying sensors, managing data, performing in-depth analytics, assessing community and organization air quality needs, and developing clear and accurate messaging.

    TD Enviro is coordinating the AQEarth project, working closely with site partners and planning monitoring network layouts and implementation, as well as managing the education, outreach, and communication portions of the project.

  • The City and County of Denver is a national leader in air quality monitoring and public outreach. In 2018 the City won a Bloomberg Philanthropies U.S. Mayors Challenge grant for their work with schools educating students and communities about the negative health effects of air quality. They continue this work today, having developed the Love My Air program, which aims to reduce air pollution and limit exposure through behavior change, advocacy, and community engagement.

    On AQEarth, Denver provides their Love My Air education program and resources, as well as their expertise in working with schools and teachers.

  • From testing to remediation to proactive interventions, Montrose Environmental Group provides comprehensive, environmentally-focused solutions that combine the consistency of a national presence with deep, local expertise and regulatory insight.

    Montrose is providing data management and visualization services for the AQEarth project.

 

The Funders

 AQEarth is funded by a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).

The purpose of this grant program is to help small businesses figure out the needs of communities and develop products and services that meet them.
